I haven’t been this happy with a Black Dagger book in a long time, and I loved recapturing that feeling. – Smut Matters

This book was so good! This is exactly what I’ve been waiting for from this series! Mercy and Riley were amazing. So hot together, both strong and dominant, neither damaged, neither expected to roll over and give up their entire lives in order to be together. This was so great! – Smut Matters
Dorian has all the abilities of the leopard, but he can’t actually take the shape of one. He’s just one giant heartbreak. – Smut Matters
This book was a lot of fun. I mean, look at that cover. Those shoes! How could this book not be a blast? Charley is snarky and funny, two things I really like in a paranormal romance heroine. – Smut Matters
Once again, a damaged heroine and an alpha hero who doesn’t give a crap what she says or thinks or feels….Everything is explained away with “We’re Pack, it’s what we do.” “You’re Pack now, it’s how you have to behave.” There’s no room anywhere for any of these women to have any autonomy. – Smut Matters
these books were a fun beginning to a still-beloved series. Even though I realize there are issues with it, I don’t care. I can see the issues and still want to keep going. These books are my crack. Some people have Kristin Ashley crack; I tried and didn’t enjoy it. I have JR Ward crack. – Smut Matters
